Content inventory – it’s not glamorous, but necessary
What do we have, what do we need, what can we re-purpose?
A content inventory allows us to review available content and note any holes that need to be filled. It will allow us to quantify the amount of effort required for editing the existing text and creating new copy, photography and illustrations. It also highlights inconsistencies in style and/or messages that will need to be addressed during the project development.
At Context Creative, we view the content inventory as an important opportunity to work with you to assess content already within your organization. It’s also the time for rigorous review – determine what’s in, what’s out.
A caution
Beware of simply re-using photography, illustrations, and articles without first checking whether you have the right to use them again. They may have been purchased for specific uses only. In our reviews, we’ll note these instances and determine whether further rights are required.
