The Trails of 1812

The TRAILS OF 1812 program celebrates 200 years of peace and promotes economic development, tourism, arts, culture and healthy lifestyle activities in Canada and the USA.

It is a partner-driven program of New World Now Foundation, a dynamic not-for-profit organization created by Context Creative to launch cultural marketing and event programs and bring together private sector partners, NGOs and governments to deliver meaningful results.

Objectives
The TRAILS OF 1812 is based on a Social Network that amplifies the 1812 Bicentennial and reaches out to local, regional and international audiences. This Social Network serves as an umbrella that includes and promotes all other 1812 events and Web sites – it does not seek to replace others, rather it amplifies their effect.

Goal
The goal of TRAILS OF 1812 is to intertwine the cultural and sporting passions and pursuits of today’s active consumer with the historical base of the Bicentennial of 1812 to bring together and amplify otherwise disparate sites and events. For example, seeded events and spectacular activities such as a Fort-to-Fort marathon, an around the lake bike race and “New World Now” Art Brigades will draw tourists and media.

Solution
The program is currently being launched with the first round of supporters and partners in place.
