The Ontario Service Safety Alliance (OSSA) is the safe Workplace Association for the Service Sector in Ontario. The OSSA works with businesses across the province to provide Health and Safety consulting services, education, assistance and training to a wide range of companies.
A significant mandate of the OSSA is to communicate with the service sector and develop a culture of safety within the workplaces.
This guide contains information on developing a safety culture, using the Safety in a Box resources, delivering safety talks, and coaching safe work practices.
Project Scope
This 32-page brochure was designed for business managers to guide them in instilling a culture of safety in their workplaces and communicating on a consistent basis to their employees. Our challenge was to clearly delineate the information and make it useful and useable for all types of service organizations.
Results
This brochure is the lead piece in a larger campaign that now includes posters, an employee communications program and a series of pictograms displaying safe work habits in specific workplace situations.
