Electrifying a company’s internal communications
A successor of Ontario Hydro, Ontario Power Generation operates the power plants that generate most of Ontario’s electricity.
In 2007, OPG generated about 70% of the electricity in Ontario, making the company one of the largest power generators in North America.

Objectives
To create a series of templates for various media that would ensure consistency in OPG’s internal programs. This would save the corporation both time and money and provide consistency in the communications.

Goal
OPG wanted to find ways to reduce the costs of creating communications for Human Resources. It was important to OPG to simplify the look and approach of their internal communications and adopt a new, unified, consistent system. The company also wanted to communicate with managers and employees in a concise and compelling way.
Solution
Context designed and implemented a new approach, delivering well thought-out and functional media templates. This approach helps in-house and contract designers work efficiently. The design, imagery, messages and approach all reinforce the OPG brand and build on the “One Company, One Voice” theme.
