Celebrating diversity
Hydro One Networks has employees throughout the province of Ontario. As a company, it is committed to recognizing and appreciating the individuality of their employees.

Objectives
Hydro One wanted a calendar to promote the diversity of its employees. The challenge was to create a visually appealing and engaging calendar that employees would want to display within their workplace and actually use.
The further challenge was to get 12 exceptional photographs (no home-made happy snaps) to make the calendar a keeper.

Goal
Simply, the calendar had to be a keeper, one that employees would enjoy looking at every day.
Solution
For the calendar we:
• Contacted our friends at PhotoSensitive, a non-profit collective of Canada’s top photographers who each year come together to create a project that illustrates how their art can contribute to social justice
• For a modest donation to their collective, Hydro One was granted the rights to use 12 photographs that portray diversity with charm and eloquence
• A clean layout and compact format was sensitive to limited space in employees work areas

Result
For a relatively limited budget, we were given a series of exceptional photographs by some of Canada’s leading photographers. The black and white photographs, set off by the use of brilliant accent colours, created a calendar that was warmly received by Hydro One employees throughout the province.
